What is slavery?
Slavery refers to a condition in which humans are owned. the 'owners' control where they live and what they do. Slavery has been existent throughout history. For example the ancient Greeks, the Romans, Incas and Aztecs all had slaves.
slaves have been sold, and resold millions of times and generates 32 billion dollars yearly. over 27 million people today are enslaved and trafficked.
what does it mean to be enslaved?
To be enslaved would be the worst possible thing you can imagine. A slave is a human being classified as property and who is forced to work for nothing. An enslaved person is a human being who is not free and although they have rights cannot voice them.
